WEEK 31 — God’s Nearness

Session 31.1 — The Lord Is Near
Read: Psalm 145:18
In Psalm 145:18, we are reminded that the Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth. God is always close to His people, ready to listen to our prayers and provide comfort and help. Knowing that God is near brings great comfort because it means we are never alone in our struggles. He is always available to help, guide, and strengthen us. Today, let’s call on the Lord in prayer, trusting that He is near and will hear us.

Session 31.2 — God With Us
Read: Matthew 1:23
Matthew 1:23 speaks of Jesus as “Emmanuel,” which means “God with us.” This powerful truth shows that God chose to be with us in the most intimate way, by sending His Son to live among us. It is important that God is with us because His presence brings comfort, peace, and strength, especially in difficult times. God’s nearness assures us that we are never abandoned, and He understands our struggles. Today, let’s thank God for being with us, knowing that He walks with us every day.

Session 31.3 — I Will Never Leave You
Read: Hebrews 13:5
In Hebrews 13:5, God promises that He will never leave us nor forsake us. This promise is a source of great comfort because it means that no matter what we face, God is always with us. We can trust that He will never abandon us, even in the most challenging situations. Knowing that God is always present with us helps to dispel fear and gives us confidence in His faithfulness. Today, let’s thank God for His never-leaving promise, knowing that He is with us always.

Session 31.4 — The Lord Is With You
Read: Isaiah 41:13
Isaiah 41:13 reminds us that God is with us to strengthen us, help us, and uphold us with His righteous right hand. God promises to help us and tells us not to fear, reassuring us of His presence and power. When we feel weak or uncertain, God’s hand is there to guide and support us. His presence is our strength and refuge. Today, let’s trust God’s help, knowing that He is holding us and empowering us to face whatever comes our way.

Session 31.5 — God Our Refuge
Read: Psalm 46:1
Psalm 46:1 teaches us that God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. In times of difficulty, God is our safe place, offering protection, strength, and comfort. When we run to God, we find refuge from the storms of life. His nearness brings peace, knowing that He is in control and will help us through every challenge. Today, let’s run to God in prayer, finding comfort and peace in His presence, knowing that He is our refuge in times of trouble.
