Session 30.1 — A Chosen People
Read: 1 Peter 2:9
In 1 Peter 2:9, God calls His people a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation. God chose us to be His own, not because of anything we have done, but because of His grace and love. As God’s people, we are called to live differently—set apart for His purposes. Our lives should reflect His holiness, goodness, and love, drawing others to Him. Today, let’s thank God for making us part of His people and for the privilege of living according to His will.
Session 30.2 — Walking in the Light
Read: 1 John 1:7
In 1 John 1:7, walking in the light means living in truth, holiness, and obedience to God. As believers, we are called to live in the light because God is light, and in Him, there is no darkness. Walking in the light affects our fellowship with one another, as it brings unity and purity into relationships. Obedience to God’s Word is connected to walking in the light because it allows us to reflect His character. Today, let’s choose to walk in obedience, staying close to God and reflecting His light in our lives.
Session 30.3 — Living to Please God
Read: 1 Thessalonians 4:1
1 Thessalonians 4:1 teaches that our goal as believers should be to live in a way that pleases God. Pleasing God means living according to His will, loving others, and growing in holiness. As we grow in our relationship with God, we learn more about how to live in a way that honors Him. Today, let’s do one thing specifically to please the Lord, whether it’s through our actions, words, or attitude, knowing that God delights in our obedience and love for Him.
Session 30.4 — A Living Testimony
Read: Matthew 5:14
In Matthew 5:14, Jesus calls believers the light of the world. Our lives are meant to reflect Christ’s light and serve as a testimony of His love and truth. As His followers, we are called to shine brightly, pointing others to God through our actions, words, and attitudes. Our lives should be a witness of His grace and goodness. Today, let’s let our light shine for Christ, whether through an act of kindness, a word of encouragement, or a faithful example, drawing others to Him.
Session 30.5 — Glorifying God in All Things
Read: 1 Corinthians 10:31
1 Corinthians 10:31 reminds us that whether we eat, drink, or do anything else, we should do it for the glory of God. Every part of our lives, even the mundane or ordinary tasks, should reflect our love for God and our desire to honor Him. God deserves glory in everything because He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. Today, let’s begin one activity by saying, “For God’s glory,” and commit to doing it with a heart that seeks to honor Him in all things.
