WEEK 4 — God’s Word Our Guide

Session 4.1 — God’s Word Is a Light
Read: Psalm 119:105
In Psalm 119:105, God’s Word is described as a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Just as a lamp illuminates the way in the darkness, God’s Word guides us through the challenges and uncertainties of life. We need light to see clearly, and the Bible provides that clarity, showing us the way to live in alignment with God’s will. Today, let’s read one extra verse from God’s Word, allowing it to illuminate our hearts and guide our steps.

Session 4.2 — God’s Word Teaches
Read: 2 Timothy 3:16
2 Timothy 3:16 teaches us that all Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. The Bible is not just a book of stories—it is God’s Word, given to teach us how to live. We should trust the Bible because it comes from God, who knows what is best for us. Today, let’s thank God for the Bible, recognizing its importance as a guide for our lives.

Session 4.3 — God’s Word Helps Us Obey
Read: Joshua 1:8
In Joshua 1:8, God commands Joshua to meditate on His Word day and night so that he can be careful to do everything written in it. When we follow God’s Word, it leads us to prosperity and success—not in material terms, but in living a life that pleases God. Thinking about God’s Word daily keeps it at the forefront of our minds, guiding our decisions. Today, let’s memorize part of a verse, keeping God’s Word close to our hearts and minds.

Session 4.4 — God’s Word Cleans Us
Read: Psalm 119:9
Psalm 119:9 asks, “How can a young person keep his way pure?” The answer is by living according to God’s Word. The Bible helps protect us from sin and guides us in making choices that honor God. By hiding God’s Word in our hearts, we allow it to shape our desires and keep us clean from the influences of the world. Today, let’s say one verse from memory, allowing it to guide and protect us.

Session 4.5 — God’s Word Is True
Read: John 17:17
In John 17:17, Jesus prays that God’s Word is truth, and truth is essential for living rightly. God’s Word is unchanging and trustworthy, providing us with the foundation for making wise decisions. When we live according to God’s truth, we align our lives with His perfect plan. Today, let’s choose truth in one situation, allowing God’s Word to guide our actions and decisions.
