WEEK 33 — God’s Protection From Evil

Session 33.1 — The Lord Is Faithful to Guard Us
Read: 2 Thessalonians 3:3
In 2 Thessalonians 3:3, Paul assures us that the Lord is faithful to guard us from evil. God’s protection is a constant and trustworthy shield that keeps us safe from harm. He promises to strengthen and protect us from the attacks of the enemy, both seen and unseen. We can trust in His protection because He is faithful, powerful, and loving. Today, let’s ask God for His protection, trusting that He is always with us to guard us from evil.

Session 33.2 — Deliver Us From Evil
Read: Matthew 6:13
In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus teaches us to pray, “Deliver us from evil.” This prayer acknowledges the reality of spiritual warfare and the need for God’s help in overcoming evil. Evil can take many forms, from temptation and sin to spiritual attacks and suffering. Prayer is our weapon against evil, as it brings us into God’s presence where we find His protection and strength. Today, let’s pray for God’s protection, asking Him to deliver us from any evil or temptation we may face.

Session 33.3 — The Name of the Lord Is a Strong Tower
Read: Proverbs 18:10
Proverbs 18:10 tells us that the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. God’s name represents His power, authority, and faithfulness, and when we call on His name, we find refuge and safety. God is our safe place, our protector in times of trouble. Running to the Lord means seeking His help, trusting in His strength, and finding shelter in His presence. Today, let’s call on the name of the Lord, trusting that He is our strong tower and our protection.

Session 33.4 — God Is Our Shield
Read: Psalm 28:7
In Psalm 28:7, David declares that God is his strength and his shield. God’s protection acts as a shield, surrounding us with His care and keeping us safe from harm. Trusting in God’s protection brings us joy because we know that He is always watching over us. When we trust in God, we are protected from fear, knowing that He is our defender. Today, let’s trust God with a fear we may have, knowing that He is our shield and our source of strength.

Session 33.5 — The Lord Will Preserve You
Read: Psalm 121:7–8
Psalm 121:7–8 promises that the Lord will preserve us from all evil and will watch over our coming and going, both now and forevermore. God is constantly watching over us, ensuring our safety and well-being. His protection is not temporary but everlasting, providing peace to our hearts. Knowing that God is watching over us brings comfort and assurance that we are never alone. Today, let’s thank God for His constant care, trusting that He is always with us, preserving and protecting us.
