WEEK 5 — Prayer and Trust

Session 5.1 — God Invites Us to Pray
Read: Jeremiah 33:3
In Jeremiah 33:3, God invites us to call to Him, and He promises to answer and show us great and unsearchable things. God desires to hear from us and is eager to respond to our prayers. Prayer is a way we communicate with God, share our hearts, and seek His guidance. We should pray often because it strengthens our relationship with God and reminds us that He is always near. Today, let’s pray for something specific, trusting that God will hear and answer according to His will.

Session 5.2 — God Gives Peace
Read: Philippians 4:6–7
In Philippians 4:6–7, Paul encourages us to bring our anxieties to God in prayer instead of worrying. When we do, God promises to give us a peace that transcends understanding. Prayer allows us to cast our burdens on God, trusting that He will care for us and give us peace. This peace guards our hearts and minds, helping us to stay calm and focused on God. Today, let’s choose to pray instead of worrying, experiencing the peace that only God can provide.

Session 5.3 — God Is Our Help
Read: Psalm 46:1
Psalm 46:1 tells us that God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. No matter what we face, God is near and ready to help us. He is our source of comfort, strength, and protection in times of need. We can run to God for help because He understands our struggles and is always there to provide for us. Today, let’s ask God for help, trusting that He will guide us through whatever challenges we face.

Session 5.4 — God Hears the Righteous
Read: Proverbs 15:29
Proverbs 15:29 assures us that God hears the prayers of the righteous. Our relationship with God is built on obedience, and when we live in alignment with His will, He listens to our prayers. Obedience matters because it shows that we trust God and are committed to following His ways. Today, let’s obey our parents cheerfully, knowing that obedience is a sign of trust in God and that He hears our prayers.

Session 5.5 — Trust the Lord
Read: Proverbs 3:5–6
Proverbs 3:5–6 teaches us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. Trusting God means acknowledging His wisdom and relying on His guidance instead of our own limited perspective. God promises that when we trust Him, He will make our paths straight, leading us to the right decisions. Today, let’s trust God with one decision, knowing that He will guide us according to His perfect will.
