WEEK 39 — Spiritual Warfare and Standing Firm

Session 39.1 — Be Strong in the Lord
Read: Ephesians 6:10
In Ephesians 6:10, Paul encourages believers to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Our strength doesn’t come from ourselves, but from God. We need God’s strength because we face challenges and spiritual battles that we cannot win on our own. By relying on His strength, we are equipped to stand firm and resist the enemy. Today, let’s ask God for strength to face any challenges and to rely on His power, knowing that He is always with us.

Session 39.2 — Put On the Whole Armour of God
Read: Ephesians 6:11
Ephesians 6:11 calls us to put on the whole armour of God so that we can stand firm against the schemes of the devil. God’s armour is essential because it protects us spiritually, enabling us to defend against temptation, deceit, and the attacks of the enemy. We need this armour because we are in a spiritual battle, and without it, we are vulnerable. God’s armour, which includes truth, righteousness, readiness, faith, salvation, and the Word of God, equips us to stand firm. Today, let’s pray for God’s protection, asking Him to equip us with His armour for whatever comes our way.

Session 39.3 — Stand Against the Devil
Read: James 4:7
James 4:7 teaches us to submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from us. Submitting to God means yielding to His authority and trusting His ways. When we resist the devil, standing firm in obedience to God, the enemy has no power over us. Obedience is key to standing firm in spiritual warfare because it keeps us aligned with God’s will and empowers us to resist temptation. Today, let’s choose obedience in all things, knowing that it strengthens our ability to stand firm against the enemy.

Session 39.4 — The Word of God Is Our Sword
Read: Ephesians 6:17
Ephesians 6:17 describes the Word of God as the sword of the Spirit, a powerful weapon in spiritual warfare. God’s Word is alive and active, capable of cutting through lies and defeating the enemy’s tactics. It is powerful because it reveals truth, brings conviction, and strengthens our faith. When we face temptation or spiritual attacks, Scripture is our defense. Today, let’s memorize part of a verse, allowing God’s Word to become a weapon in our hearts and minds as we stand firm in His truth.

Session 39.5 — The Lord Fights for You
Read: Exodus 14:14
Exodus 14:14 reminds us that the Lord will fight for us; we only need to be still. In times of battle, stress, or uncertainty, we can rest in the truth that God is fighting on our behalf. We don’t have to struggle alone or fight in our own strength. Trusting in God’s ability to protect and deliver us brings peace in difficult circumstances. Today, let’s be still and trust God, knowing that He is always working on our behalf and fighting for our victory.
