WEEK 51 — Remembering God’s Works

Session 51.1 — Forget Not All His Benefits
Read: Psalm 103:2
It is crucial for believers to remember God’s blessings, as Psalm 103:2 reminds us. Life can often be overwhelming, and it’s easy to forget the many ways God has shown His goodness, mercy, and love. By taking the time to reflect on His benefits, we are reminded of His faithfulness and provision. This verse encourages us to count our blessings, both big and small, and to give thanks for them. Remembering God’s past faithfulness strengthens our faith, helping us trust Him more deeply in the present and future.

Session 51.2 — Tell the Next Generation
Read: Psalm 78:4
Psalm 78:4 emphasizes the importance of passing down the knowledge of God’s mighty works to the next generation. The psalmist encourages parents and leaders to teach their children about God’s faithfulness, both in their lives and in the history of His people. By sharing these stories, we help the younger generation understand God’s power, love, and salvation. Teaching our children about God’s works fosters their own faith and helps them grow in their understanding of who God is and what He has done.

Session 51.3 — Give Thanks for All Things
Read: Ephesians 5:20
In Ephesians 5:20, Paul instructs believers to give thanks always and for everything. This includes not only the easy and good moments in life but also the challenges and difficulties. Gratitude, even in hard times, honors God and demonstrates trust in His sovereignty. When we thank God in all circumstances, we acknowledge His goodness and faithfulness, knowing that He works all things for our good. Growing in thankfulness helps us see God’s hand in everything, developing a deeper, more resilient faith.

Session 51.4 — Bless the Lord at All Times
Read: Psalm 34:1
Psalm 34:1 teaches that we should bless the Lord at all times, regardless of our circumstances. Praising God should not be reserved only for the good moments, but should be a constant part of our lives. Praise has the power to transform our hearts, shifting our focus from our difficulties to God’s greatness. When we choose to bless the Lord in every season, we acknowledge His sovereignty and cultivate a deeper sense of joy, peace, and contentment, even in trials.

Session 51.5 — The Lord Has Done Great Things
Read: Psalm 126:3
Psalm 126:3 celebrates the great things that the Lord has done, reminding us of His faithfulness and provision. When we look back and remember the ways God has worked in our lives, it brings us joy and gratitude. This verse highlights the connection between remembering God’s great deeds and experiencing joy. As a family, celebrating God’s goodness strengthens our faith and builds a culture of gratitude and worship. Reflecting on God’s past faithfulness encourages us to anticipate His continued goodness in the future.
