WEEK 44 — God’s Word and Obedience

Session 44.1 — Blessed Are They That Hear and Keep God’s Word
Read: Luke 11:28
In Luke 11:28, Jesus affirms that those who hear and keep God’s Word are blessed. Obedience to God’s Word goes beyond simply hearing it; it involves putting it into practice in our daily lives. To keep God’s Word means to obey and live according to His commands, aligning our lives with His will. When we choose to obey, we open ourselves to His blessings, as obedience leads to spiritual growth, peace, and fulfillment in Christ. Today, let’s obey one Bible command, demonstrating our love for God and His Word.

Session 44.2 — Doers of the Word
Read: James 1:22
James 1:22 emphasizes that it is not enough to simply hear God’s Word; we must also do what it says. When we hear God’s Word without acting on it, we deceive ourselves. But when we put His teachings into practice, we experience transformation and growth. Being a doer of the Word means aligning our actions with God’s truth, and this leads to a life that reflects His love and righteousness. Today, let’s put God’s Word into action, allowing it to shape the way we live and interact with others.

Session 44.3 — The Word Dwelling in Us
Read: Colossians 3:16
In Colossians 3:16, Paul urges believers to let the Word of Christ dwell in them richly. This means allowing God’s Word to take root in our hearts and minds, influencing how we think, speak, and live. When Scripture dwells in us, it transforms us, shaping our attitudes and guiding our decisions. God’s Word is vital in our homes because it serves as the foundation for truth, wisdom, and peace. Today, let’s read Scripture together as a family, allowing God’s Word to fill our hearts and guide our lives.

Session 44.4 — Hearing Produces Faith
Read: Romans 10:17
Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. The more we hear God’s Word, the stronger our faith becomes. Scripture builds our faith because it reveals God’s promises, character, and truth. Hearing the Word often—through reading, teaching, or listening to sermons—deepens our trust in God and strengthens our relationship with Him. Today, let’s listen carefully to God’s Word, allowing it to grow our faith and draw us closer to Him.

Session 44.5 — Thy Word Is Very Pure
Read: Psalm 119:140
Psalm 119:140 declares that God’s Word is very pure, and this purity is one of the reasons we can trust and love it fully. God’s Word is flawless, free from error, and represents His perfect truth. Because it is pure, we can rely on it as a trustworthy guide for life. Loving God’s Word means valuing it above all other teachings and allowing it to shape our hearts and minds. Today, let’s thank God for His pure Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.
