WEEK 26 — God’s Truth and Integrity

Session 26.1 — God Cannot Lie
Read: Titus 1:2
In Titus 1:2, we learn that God cannot lie, which highlights His absolute integrity and trustworthiness. God’s character is perfectly true, and His promises are always reliable. It is crucial that God always tells the truth because it means we can fully depend on what He says. When God makes a promise, we can trust that it will come to pass because He is incapable of deceit. Today, let’s thank God for His truthfulness and trustworthiness, knowing that His word is always dependable.

Session 26.2 — Walking in Truth
Read: 3 John 1:4
Walking in truth means living in alignment with God’s Word, consistently reflecting His character in our actions, attitudes, and decisions. Truth pleases God because it reflects His nature—God is truth. Living truthfully means embracing honesty, integrity, and transparency in all areas of life. As a family, we can live truthfully by choosing to speak and act in ways that honor God’s standards. Today, let’s choose truth in one situation, allowing God’s truth to guide our decisions and actions.

Session 26.3 — Speak the Truth in Love
Read: Ephesians 4:15
Ephesians 4:15 teaches us to speak the truth in love, balancing honesty with kindness and grace. Truth, when spoken without love, can hurt and cause division, but when spoken in love, it builds up and encourages others. Speaking truth in love means being compassionate, understanding, and considerate of others’ feelings while remaining faithful to what is true. Today, let’s say something true and kind, ensuring that our words reflect both God’s truth and His love for others.

Session 26.4 — Honest Lips Please the Lord
Read: Proverbs 12:22
Proverbs 12:22 tells us that God delights in honest lips and detests lying. Honesty matters to God because it reflects His own character of integrity and truthfulness. When we speak truthfully, we build trust in our relationships and honor God, who is the ultimate source of truth. Lying damages trust and harms relationships, but honesty fosters healthy, open connections. Today, let’s be honest in everything we do, knowing that it pleases God and builds trust with others.

Session 26.5 — God’s Word Is Pure Truth
Read: John 17:17
In John 17:17, Jesus prays that God’s Word, which is truth, sanctifies us. God’s Word is pure truth, without any error or deception, and it is the ultimate guide for our lives. We can trust the Bible completely because it is inspired by God and reflects His perfect wisdom and truth. As we read and apply God’s Word, it shapes our choices and helps us live in a way that honors Him. Today, let’s thank God for His true Word, knowing that it provides the guidance and truth we need for every decision.
