Session 25.1 — Do Not Grow Weary
Read: Galatians 6:9
In Galatians 6:9, Paul encourages believers to not grow weary in doing good because, at the proper time, they will reap a harvest if they do not give up. It can be difficult to keep doing good when we face discouragement or feel that our efforts are unnoticed, but God promises that perseverance in doing good will eventually result in a reward. We can encourage one another by reminding each other of this promise and by helping each other stay focused on the eternal rewards God has for those who persevere. Today, let’s keep doing one good thing faithfully, trusting that our efforts are not in vain.
Session 25.2 — Run With Patience
Read: Hebrews 12:1
Hebrews 12:1 describes the Christian life as a race that we must run with patience, laying aside the things that slow us down. The race we are running is the journey of faith, and we need patience to endure hardships and obstacles. Spiritual distractions, temptations, and sin can weigh us down and slow our progress. Patience helps us stay focused on the goal and persevere through trials. Today, let’s ask God to help us keep going in our race of faith, removing anything that hinders our spiritual journey.
Session 25.3 — The Lord Strengthens the Righteous
Read: Psalm 37:17
Psalm 37:17 reminds us that the Lord strengthens the righteous. When we rely on God’s strength, we are empowered to endure hardships and continue in righteousness, even when we feel weak. Our strength is not in ourselves but in God, and He is faithful to provide the strength we need. We can trust Him to help us when we are weak and to sustain us in our journey of faith. Today, let’s ask God for strength, knowing that He will uphold us and empower us to keep going.
Session 25.4 — Rejoicing in Hope
Read: Romans 12:12
Romans 12:12 teaches us to rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and continue steadfastly in prayer. Hope is what keeps us going, even in difficult times, because we know that God is faithful and will fulfill His promises. Patience helps us endure hardships, and prayer strengthens our relationship with God, giving us the grace to persevere. Today, let’s pray and thank God, even in hard moments, trusting that He is with us and will bring us through every trial.
Session 25.5 — The Crown of Life
Read: James 1:12
James 1:12 promises that those who persevere under trial will be blessed and will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him. This crown represents the eternal reward and joy that await believers who remain faithful, despite life’s challenges. Enduring trials with faith is worth it because God promises a glorious reward. Today, let’s thank God for His promise to faithful believers, knowing that our perseverance will be rewarded with eternal life and His presence.
