Session 21.1 — The Lord Reigns
Read: Psalm 97:1
In Psalm 97:1, we are reminded that the Lord reigns—He is in control of all things in heaven and on earth. God’s sovereignty means that He rules over everything with authority and power. It is good that God is in control because His rule brings order, justice, and peace to the world. Knowing that God is sovereign gives us peace, as we can trust that He is working everything according to His perfect plan. Today, let’s thank God for being in control, knowing that He governs all things with wisdom and love.
Session 21.2 — God Works All Things
Read: Romans 8:28
Romans 8:28 assures us that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Even in hard times, we can trust that God is working everything—both good and bad—for our ultimate good and His glory. This promise gives us comfort in knowing that nothing is wasted in God’s plan. Today, let’s trust God with one hard thing, believing that He is working it together for our good, even when we don’t fully understand.
Session 21.3 — God’s Ways Are Higher
Read: Isaiah 55:8–9
In Isaiah 55:8–9, God reminds us that His thoughts and ways are higher than ours. This means that God sees the bigger picture and knows what is best for us, even when we don’t understand His plans. Trusting God, even when we don’t understand, is an act of humility because it acknowledges that God’s wisdom is far greater than our own. Today, let’s tell God we trust His ways, knowing that He has a perfect plan, even when we can’t see the full picture.
Session 21.4 — The King of Heaven
Read: Daniel 4:35
Daniel 4:35 declares that God rules over all nations and no one can stop His plans. God’s sovereignty is absolute—He is the King of heaven, and His will cannot be thwarted by anyone or anything. Knowing that God is in control of all things should lead us to worship Him with awe and reverence, recognizing His supreme authority over all creation. Today, let’s praise God as King, acknowledging that He reigns over everything in heaven and earth.
Session 21.5 — God’s Counsel Shall Stand
Read: Proverbs 19:21
Proverbs 19:21 teaches us that many are the plans in a person’s heart, but God’s purpose will prevail. God’s plan is always perfect and will come to pass, regardless of our own plans or desires. His purpose is more important than ours because He sees everything from an eternal perspective and works all things for His glory. Today, let’s pray, “Lord, let Your will be done,” submitting our own plans to God and trusting that His purposes are always best.
