WEEK 19 — God’s Mission

Session 19.1 — Go and Tell
Read: Matthew 28:19–20
In Matthew 28:19–20, Jesus commands His followers to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to obey all that He has commanded. The gospel is for everyone, and it is our responsibility to share it with others. As a family, we can help make disciples by praying for those who need Jesus, supporting missionaries, and sharing the love of Christ with others. Today, let’s pray for someone who needs Jesus, asking God to open their heart to the gospel.

Session 19.2 — Witnesses for Christ
Read: Acts 1:8
In Acts 1:8, Jesus promises that believers will receive the Holy Spirit, who will empower them to be His witnesses in all the world. A witness is someone who shares what they have experienced or know, and as believers, we are called to share the message of Jesus with others. The Holy Spirit helps us boldly and effectively tell others about Christ. Today, let’s thank God for the Holy Spirit’s help, recognizing that He empowers us to witness for Christ.

Session 19.3 — Not Ashamed of the Gospel
Read: Romans 1:16
Romans 1:16 tells us that the gospel is the power of God for salvation, and we should never be ashamed of it. The gospel has the power to transform lives and bring salvation to everyone who believes. As followers of Christ, we should be proud to share the good news, knowing its power to change hearts. Boldly living for Christ means speaking the truth of the gospel without fear. Today, let’s speak about Jesus with courage, trusting in the power of His message.

Session 19.4 — The Harvest Is Plentiful
Read: Matthew 9:37–38
In Matthew 9:37–38, Jesus says that the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. There are many people who need to hear the gospel, and we are called to be workers in God’s mission. We can pray for more workers, including missionaries, pastors, and all who are sharing the gospel. Today, let’s pray for missionaries and pastors, asking God to send more workers into the harvest field and to empower them to reach those who have not yet heard the gospel.

Session 19.5 — Let Your Light Shine
Read: Matthew 5:16
In Matthew 5:16, Jesus calls us to let our light shine before others so that they may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven. Our lives should reflect the love, grace, and truth of Jesus, and our actions can point people to God. By doing good deeds and living with integrity, we shine for Jesus and draw others to Him. Today, let’s do one good deed for God’s glory, allowing our light to shine brightly in the world.
