Session 15.1 — Choose Whom You Will Serve
Read: Joshua 24:15
In Joshua 24:15, Joshua challenges the people of Israel to choose whom they will serve—whether the gods of their ancestors or the one true God. Serving God is a choice we must make because it requires commitment and dedication to living according to His will. We must choose to serve Him with our lives, giving Him our time, talents, and resources. As a family, we can serve the Lord by praying together, helping others, and living out His commandments. Today, let’s say together, “We will serve the Lord,” and commit to serving Him with all our hearts.
Session 15.2 — Living Sacrifices
Read: Romans 12:1
Romans 12:1 calls us to offer our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, as an act of worship. Our lives are an act of worship because everything we do should reflect our devotion to God. When we live for Him, we honor Him in every aspect of our lives—whether in our work, relationships, or personal decisions. Today, let’s do one thing as worship to God, offering it as a sacrifice of praise, and recognizing that our whole lives belong to Him.
Session 15.3 — Work for the Lord
Read: Colossians 3:23
Colossians 3:23 reminds us that whatever we do, we should work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. When we recognize that our work is ultimately for God, it changes our attitude and motivates us to do our best. Serving God in our work means giving our best effort, doing our tasks with integrity and excellence. Today, let’s do our work cheerfully, knowing that we are serving God through our actions, no matter how big or small the task.
Session 15.4 — Jesus the Servant King
Read: Matthew 20:26–28
In Matthew 20:26–28, Jesus teaches that greatness in God’s kingdom is found in serving others. Jesus, the King of kings, humbled Himself by serving others, and He calls us to do the same. Serving others like Jesus means putting their needs before our own and doing so with a humble heart. We can serve in our homes by helping with chores, encouraging one another, and showing kindness. Today, let’s serve someone in our home without being asked, following Jesus’ example of selfless service.
Session 15.5 — Serve One Another in Love
Read: Galatians 5:13
Galatians 5:13 reminds us that, through Christ, we have been given freedom, but we are called to use that freedom to serve one another in love. Serving others is a way we express God’s love in our lives, and it helps us build strong, loving relationships with others. Loving service looks like being patient, kind, and generous with our time and resources. Today, let’s help someone in love, demonstrating Christ’s love through our actions.
