Session 12.1 — Holy, Holy, Holy
Read: Isaiah 6:3
In Isaiah 6:3, the angels cry, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty.” God’s holiness means that He is completely separate from sin and pure in all His ways. He is morally perfect and set apart from everything else. Angels praise God’s holiness because it is central to His character and worth. Understanding God’s holiness should lead us to reverence, awe, and worship. Today, let’s praise God for His holiness, recognizing how perfect and pure He is.
Session 12.2 — Called to Be Holy
Read: 1 Peter 1:15–16
In 1 Peter 1:15–16, God calls us to live holy lives, just as He is holy. Holiness is not about being perfect in ourselves, but being set apart for God’s purposes. Believers should reflect God’s holiness in their lives because we are His representatives on earth. To live differently for God means making choices that align with His will, living with integrity, kindness, and purity. Today, let’s choose one way to live more like Jesus, reflecting His holiness in our actions.
Session 12.3 — Worship the Holy Lord
Read: Psalm 99:9
Psalm 99:9 calls us to exalt the Lord and worship at His holy mountain. We worship God because He is holy, and His holiness calls us to give Him reverence and honor. God’s holiness teaches us that worship is not just about singing or rituals, but about acknowledging His majesty, purity, and perfection. We show respect to God by giving Him our hearts in worship and living lives that reflect His holiness. Today, let’s bow our heads and thank God for who He is, acknowledging His holiness in our hearts.
Session 12.4 — Following Peace and Holiness
Read: Hebrews 12:14
Hebrews 12:14 reminds us to pursue peace and holiness, because without holiness, no one will see the Lord. Holiness is important because it brings us closer to God and reflects His character to the world. It affects our relationships by enabling us to live in harmony with others and with God. God cares about how we live because our lives are a testimony of His greatness. Today, let’s make one peaceful choice that reflects holiness, choosing to live in a way that honors God.
Session 12.5 — Be Ye Holy
Read: Leviticus 19:2
In Leviticus 19:2, God commands His people to be holy because He is holy. Jesus is our ultimate example of holiness, showing us how to live with purity, love, and righteousness. God desires for His people to be holy because holiness reflects His character and draws others to Him. When we live holy lives, we show God’s goodness and light to the world. Today, let’s ask God to help us live a holy life, being faithful in our choices to honor Him in everything we do.
